Managing Director and award-winning public relations executiveBobbie Wasserman,
has helped to shape the communications landscape of today’s global brands and build the reputation of tomorrow’s leading companies. These include Amgen, Arbonne, Bank of Montreal, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Chevron, Environmental Law & Policy Center, GE Capital, GreenPlug, Hewlett-Packard, IBM and ViSalus.

As a veteran of global public relations agencies Fleishman-Hillard and Edelman, where she served as a vice president in the public affairs and the corporate reputation and crisis management practices, Bobbie provided strategic account leadership and tactical execution, landing placements in national broadcast, print/online and through social influencers. Her work has included national product launches, public affairs audits, merger & acquisition announcements, thought leadership content creation, internal communication programs, and analyst tours. She has successfully executed several crisis management strategies for clients being investigated by 60 Minutes, 20/20, and Primetime Live.

Most recently, Bobbie served as the Vice President of Public Relations for ViSalus Sciences, where she setup department infrastructure and directed global communications efforts during the company’s hyper-growth period from $231 million in sales to over $700 million. Bobbie successfully led several high-profile North America crisis management efforts, integrated public relations and social media programs that drove engagement and sales, and coordinated national corporate media events – including “The World’s Largest Simultaneous Flash Mob” which involved over 10,000 participants in 300 cities.

Bobbie’s experience includes almost a decade in politics highlighted by appointment to executive director of The White House Project, a national nonpartisan 501c4 organization. In addition to running national operations, she oversaw groundbreaking research, led Capitol Hill briefings, and secured sponsorship with major corporations, including Mattel and the launch of President Barbie. Bobbie served as the Project’s national media spokesperson and guest lectured at Columbia and American Universities.

Bobbie earned an MBA in Finance from USC and a BA in Economics from UCLA. She is a former board member for California Women Lead – Los Angeles, former Environment Commissioner for California Assembly Speaker Karen Bass (now Congresswoman) and an elected county committee representative for California’s 41st Assembly District.

She currently serves as President, National Board of Directors for the Celiac Disease Foundation and sits on the Advisory Board for The Luncheon Society.

Bobbie speaks and writes about public relations, online and social media integration for multi-channel companies, and is a featured contributor to PRNews’ Corporate Social Responsibility and Crisis Management Best Practices Guidebooks.

Bobbie founded Wave2 Alliances to address the needs  of multi-channel companies to update their communications department to take advantage of current technologies and trends.
